The Giving Process: How it Works

Our annual budget is largely supplemented by the generous donations of our alumni and other friends
of the Carolina fencing family!  This is how it works:

Alumni and friends donate to our team by writing a check or money order to:
Carolina Fencing
PO Box 2126
Chapel Hill, NC 27515
*Please specify which account you would like your money to go to.

Your checks come directly to our office and are processed by Sanja Bosman or Courtney Krolikoski,
assistant coaches for the team. We copy the checks, complete a deposit sheet, and deliver everything
to the Athletics Business Office.  Depending on which account the money has been donated to-

Special Account or Operations Endowment
- the Athletics Business Office deposits the checks
and returns a tracking sheet to our office, which we file in the annual fundraising binder.  They keep
track of how much money has been deposited, as do we.  By keeping copies of all of our checks and
deposit sheets- as well as tracking moneys donated on our goal chart- we are able to know exactly
where we stand in our progress towards this year's fundraising goal of
$25,000.

Once the checks have been processed, you will be sent a thank you from a member of our staff, as
well as the incentive specified by your giving level.  Giving levels are as follows:

Tar Heel $0-$100
Bronze Saber-$101-250
Silver Foil- $251-500
Golden Epee- $501-1000
Maitre d'Armes $1001+
